On March 20th, the BCSEA Kamloops Chapter hosted an event called The Power of Sustainable Investing, in partnership with Transition Kamloops, Thompson Rivers University Sustainability Office and the speaker, Tim Nash. The session was highly informative, generating interest, excitement, and engaging discussion. The 35 minutes talk (PowerPoint slides attached below), was followed by an equally well-received half an hour of Q&A. About half of the seventy attendees stayed for a break-out session.

The BCSEA Victoria Chapter hosted 'THE BIG TOWN HALL: Saanich: Pathway to 100% Renewable Energy' on Saturday October 29th, together with partners Sierra Club BC and SFU Renewable Cities. And it was just that; BIG! Big attendance, with over 135 attendees clustered in round tables listening to highly credible speakers and putting their minds to work on how Saanich could accomplish the goal of 100% renewable energy. At this Town Hall, we began the most crucial first step in convincing Saanich to adopt a 100% RE policy with the mobilization of public officials and the general public.
Local group seeks public submissions for new exhibition at Kamloops Art Gallery
The Kamloops Chapter of the BC Sustainable Energy Association (BCSEA) is excited to announce a new exhibition which will highlight and celebrate people who use sustainable energy resources and functions on a regular basis. Everyday Sustainable Energy Superheroes will take place January 14th to March 18th, 2017 at the free BMO Open Gallery of the Kamloops Art Gallery (KAG).
