Tar Sands: The Dark Side of the Boom

Community Event
Apr 4 2009 - 12:00am

Southeastern BC Speaking Tour on the Impacts of the Tar Sands in BC and Alberta

Please join us for a very important panel about the largest industrial project in history that has been devastating the environment and communities in Alberta. This enormous development is expanding across the continent with little to no regard for the eco-systems and communities that lie in the path of the infrastructure. While public is slowly being informed about the devastation in Alberta, few BC residents are aware of the tar sands related infrastructure and operations extending into BC. Come find out about how projects in BC are supporting this project and what residents of BC can do to help stop the devastation in Alberta.

Time and location TBA - please contact Trevor Hamre (thamre@hotmail.com) for details.
