AWEA Wind Energy Fall Symposium: Accelerating Wind Industry Growth Towards 20%

Community Event
Nov 19 2008 (All day) to Nov 21 2008 (All day)

The American Wind Energy Association is pleased to announce the 4th annual AWEA Wind Energy Fall Symposium being held November 19 – 21, 2008 at Desert Springs, a JW Marriott Resort and Spa in Palm Desert, California. Join over 600 wind energy professionals at this must-attend event for the most current information in wind and quality networking opportunities.

With WINDPOWER 2008 Conference & Exhibition attracting over 13,000 people, perhaps you missed out on some quality interaction and networking time with leading wind industry professionals. The AWEA Wind Energy Fall Symposium provides the perfect opportunity to speak one-on-one with your prospective customers, current clients, and industry colleagues in a casual resort setting conducive for business.

The Fall Symposium also provides a unique educational program designed for wind energy professionals working in all facets of the industry who are involved in, or looking to learn more about, the business, policy and technical issues of the wind industry. For those new to the wind industry, a Fundamentals of Wind Energy pre-conference seminar will be held on Wednesday afternoon, offering a comprehensive tutorial on the fundamentals of utility-scale wind energy. This tutorial is a perfect primer for the more detailed topics to be covered during the remainder of the Symposium.

In addition, AWEA is offering a first-ever Utilities and Wind Power seminar all day on Wednesday, designed specifically for electric utility attendees to discuss the critical issues facing utilities as they bring more wind power on to their systems. Then on Thursday and Friday, the main Fall Symposium program will include in-depth presentations and interactive discussions on the most important issues facing the wind industry, providing insight and topical information.

As one attendee from the 2007 Fall Symposium noted in their evaluation survey: “Overall I absolutely loved the Fall Symposium — great location, great topics and great turnout!” It’s as simple as that — so can you afford to miss this important opportunity?
