A Post Carbon World by 2030 Practical Solutions to Global Warming and Peak Oil

Community Event
Nov 13 2008 - 9:00am to 5:00pm

Practical Solutions to Global Warming and Peak Oil with Guy Dauncey

There is an urgent need for practical solutions to both global warming, and our dependency on oil and gas, now that we have entered the era of peak oil and terminal decline.

Will our civilization collapse under these threats, or can we use our technological and organizational skills to achieve a rapid transition to a post-carbon world?

This course examines the full range of post-carbon solutions, with examples from communities around the world where they are already in place:

  • The scientific basis of climate change and peak oil.
  • Post-carbon solutions for buildings, transport, energy, industry, farms, and forests.
  • Organizational solutions for governments, businesses, and communities.

At the end of the day, you will have a firm grasp of how the world could achieve a post-carbon world by 2030, and the organizational strategies needed. Everyone attending the course will receive a CD containing the full visual presentation.
