The Future of Electric Vehicles and Charging Technologies Electric vehicle sales and charging infrastructure have been a frequent topic in the news lately. The number of EVs in Canada almost doubled in 2018 and the BC Government has announced that new Zero Emission Vehicle legislation (ZEV) will be introduced in the spring, with the target that all vehicles sold will be zero emission by 2040. The presentations will talk about what is happening with electric vehicles of all types in BC, across North America and globally, both now and in the future. It will also discuss EV charging technologies and the interaction of charging and North America’s electrical grids, their challenges and opportunities. It will cover utility programs that help manage and make the most of grid to vehicle impacts and talk about the future trends in EV charging.
