What is CleanBC?
CleanBC is the province's plan for a cleaner, better future by reducing carbon pollution and using more clean, renewable energy to power our industry, businesses, homes, and vehicles.
Why are we looking for feedback and input?
There are new job opportunities on the way with CleanBC. Whether it is generating clean energy, renovating buildings or designing new technologies, building a cleaner future means new opportunities for people and businesses, and creating good jobs across the province to do things better, more efficiently and more sustainably.
We’ll need new skilled workers, and new skills to equip those already at work across the province.
As the clean economy grows and new jobs and professions emerge, education and training opportunities need to keep pace. These opportunities need to be accessible to people in rural and remote areas and in Indigenous communities, as well as in our growing urban centers.
This workshop, one of six across the province, is an exciting opportunity for participants to learn more about CleanBC, to think about the future and what new jobs, skills and training opportunities will be needed.
Your feedback, along with information from industry experts and community groups, will be used to help in planning for CleanBC to make the most of the work opportunities that come with building a stronger, cleaner economy.
