BCSEA Okanagan Chapter - Sustainable Energy Task Force Meeting

Chapter Meeting
Mar 1 2020 - 1:00pm to 5:00pm

BCSEA Okanagan Chapter

Is excited to announce a successful beginning to our Okanagan Sustainable Energy Task Force.  On January 26, six additional community groups and numerous attendees collaborated to establish topics of focus to reach 100% Renewable Energy (RE) within the Okanagan by 2030.  These topics will be further explored at the second regional meeting scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2020, in Summerland.   The task will require cross-sector direction and implementation. The January 26th meeting was very positive and empowering, with the realization that there is much work to do.   We need your support - come and join us in Summerland!

Okanagan Sustainable Energy Task Force Meeting

1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2020

Summerland Arena - Banquet Room

8820 Jubilee Rd. E (2nd floor)

Summerland, BC

For carpooling from the north, we are meeting at Butcher Boys in Vernon at 10:15 AM, and Kelowna Library at 11:15 AM!  Email us for details.

We participated in the annual Vernon Winter Carnival, this year's theme, "Remembering the Sixties".  Shoulder to road shoulder we paraded with 12 electric vehicles from the community, a float, and a few banner holders.   Our Okanagan Chapter founder,  Terry Dyck organized a great turnout!  The event was a much-needed celebration of how far we have come.  Check out the photos on our chapter Facebook!
