Join the BC Women in Energy Network for the 2015 AGM followed by our first speaker event of the year with BC Hydro CEO Jessica McDonald.
AGM business will include a resolution to make amendments to the BC WEN bylaws and the election of new board members. All members in good standing are invited to attend the AGM and are eligible to vote on AGM business. Details on the board nomination process will be released shortly, anyone interested in standing for a board position is invited to contact us.
We are very pleased to welcome BC Hydro CEO Jessica McDonald to our first event of 2015. Jessica McDonald was appointed President and CEO of BC Hydro in July 2014. She began her career in government in 1991 and held many different roles including serving as a deputy minister in the British Columbia government for six years. From 2005 to 2009, she was Deputy Minister to the Premier, Cabinet Secretary and head of the B.C. Public Service, responsible for oversight of all aspects of government operations. During her term, she led landmark discussions including negotiation of the new relationship between government and First Nations in the province.
Members and non-member are able to attend the AGM which will run from 8:00 am to about 8:45 am. Ms. McDonald's remarks will being around 9:00 am.
