Jonathan Ho is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the BC Sustainable Energy Association. A Board member since 2016, Jonathan has previously served as Vice Chair and Board Treasurer. With over 20 years of experience in renewable energy and sustainability fields, Jonathan brings both a detailed technical understanding of the renewable energy systems, as well as the policy tools that can be enacted by different levels of government to facilitate the transition to a low-carbon energy economy.
In his various capacities, Jonathan has co-founded a renewable energy company, served as a consultant to the Ford Motor Company and US Department of Energy on national hydrogen infrastructure technical and cost modeling, named a Legend in Energy by the Association of Energy Engineers for his work in energy management, and built multiple gas upgrading projects in North America, South America, Asia, and Europe. Jonathan has a undergraduate degree in chemical engineering, and master’s degrees in materials science and engineering, and business administration. Currently, Jonathan works in Solid Waste management in local government, working to achieve the goal of zero waste and a transition to a circular, in addition to a low-carbon energy economy.
