Pat is a community planner, with over twenty years experience in regional, urban and environmental planning, with an emphasis on sustainable development. She has worked for City of Saskatoon, Metro Vancouver, City of Pitt Meadows and City of Coquitlam, addressing planning issues ranging from protection of environmentally sensitive areas, agricultural/urban land use conflicts, recycling, water conservation and air quality management, development approvals, district energy and long term land use policy.
Since joining the Community Energy Association (CEA) in 2008, Pat has prepared and delivered guides, workshops and policy recommendations on energy efficient buildings, community energy and emissions planning and implementation, district energy systems, Canadian provincial/territorial climate and energy policy, and electric vehicle implementation. She also prepares and delivers the community energy management online education program at the BC Institute of Technology.
Patricia received a Bachelor of Arts in Land Use and Environmental Studies from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters of Science in Sustainability, Planning and Environmental Policy from the University of Wales. She is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP, MCIP) and a Certified Sustainability Professional.
