Who we are
The Okanagan Chapter of the BC Sustainable Energy Association is dedicated to bringing sustainable energy to the people. The Okanagan region has grown substantially in the past few decades, in ways that challenge the idea of sustainability, yet is a perfect model for new transitioning communities. The surrounding environment, local people and the first nations, require intervention to a modernized energy model NOT reliant on fossil fuels, sprawling inefficient housing, and habitat decimation.
What we do
The BCSEA Okanagan Chapter has signed on to a mandate to eliminate fossil fuel use by 2030. To achieve this, locally, we are pursuing advocacy, education, policy change, and examples for the community to move forward in a more healthy manner.
The Okanagan Chapter holds regular events, for both educational and advocacy purposes.
