Laura is a leader in sustainability and environmental education for youth and adults, with over 10 years of experience in non-profit management, community based program development and facilitation. Laura is passionate about supporting youth to be empowered to take action in their communities and has done this through developing and facilitating workshops on energy and water conservation, zero-waste, food sovereignty with Outdoor education schools, the Katimavik Program, the Destination Conservation Program and Metro Vancouver's Youth 4 Action Program. She co-Directed the Elements Society, working with 12 districts across Alberta and BC to support sustainability action in schools. In 2007, she supported the administration of BCSEA's Climate Change Showdown (now Cool it!) Program and is excited to be back facilitating Climate Leadership Training across the Lower Mainland.
