Arman Mottaghi

Interim Board Member

Arman Mottaghi M.A.Sc, B.Sc.

I studied Urban Engineering before directing my attention towards Building Engineering in my Master’s, where I studied energy models and their use cases for buildings. This experience enabled me to pursue my career by developing the building energy efficiency software StepWin. I also act as a board member in Carpe Lunam Events Association to advocate for decentralization.

My passion for sustainable energy comes from the realization that not only it is the only path forward for our environmental necessities, but also the ever-increasing availability of renewable energy solutions is an enabler for underprivileged communities to break their barriers and define their future.

In my opinion, cleantech initiatives with defined values and business models are the best accelerators of sustainable energy adoption. I believe BCSEA Vancouver chapter is making a meaningful impact in the field by organizing activities that connect professionals and create opportunities for forming and growing such initiatives. I feel privileged to be involved in the forefront of these activities with my fellow chapter members.
