This September has been busy for the Victoria Chapter, telling people about our programs and advocating for a sustainable energy transformation.
On Saturday the 21st, we had our table at the Fall Fairfield family oriented event.
On Monday the 23rd, we had our table at the Greater Victoria Teachers Association’s Teach-In on climate change on the legislature lawn. Three hundred people attended, despite the rain, and we had lots of interest in the Youth Involvement Project, which matches high school students with sustainable businesses to complete their volunteer time for graduation requirements.
On Friday the 27th, we carried the BCSEA banner at the Global Climate Strike. Several thousand students and supportive adults packed the legislature lawn, advocating for urgent action
