BC Party Platforms Report Card

This provincial election will decide if the BC government will take bold action on climate change and create a prosperous, sustainable future for you and your family. To help you make your choice when you vote, the volunteers at the BCSEA Vancouver Chapter have carefully read and graded each party platform.

The letter grades below represent the total score earned by each party platform in 13 categories such as: Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reduction Targets, Transition to Green Employment, and Social Equity. For more details, please read our complete platform grading rubric. For more information, see our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Letter Grade   |   Total Score

         A                     80 - 100
         B                     60 - 79
         C                     40 - 59
         D                       0 - 39

To complement this Party Platform Report Card, the volunteers at the BCSEA Vancouver Chapter have also sent a 10-question survey to all the candidates in Metro-Vancouver ridings. You can find your local candidates’ responses to our Sustainability Questionnaire on this webpage.

If this Party Platform Report Card or the Candidate Sustainability Questionnaire were valuable to you, please consider donating generously. Our goal is to raise $1000 to recover the cost of this project and create similar online tools for BC voters in future elections. Thank you!
