With the continued emergence of sustainability as key corporate priority, the City of Vancouver is currently seeking the best possible candidate to fill the recently reclassified Sustainability Director position. This position reports directly to the Deputy City Manager.
The Sustainability Group takes a lead role in facilitating the development of community and corporate sustainability related plans. As the opportunities and responsibility for sustainable outcomes expands within the City, the Sustainability Group has a growing role to support initiatives led by other departments. In addition, the Group continues to provide leadership on climate protection, renewable and energy efficiency, green buildings, and low-carbon vehicle initiatives.
