YesBC is an grassroots leadership program, dedicated to increasing awareness and finding solutions to critical environmental issues by inspiring and empowering youth to take action - it is todays' youth who are leading the way to a sustainable future. Quality programming in schools provides students with the tools, skills and necessary ongoing support to be environmental leaders. YesBC models a collaborative approach that facilitates community engagement and youth mobilization. YesBC has been introduced to over 4,000 BC youth, through workshops, conferences, assemblies and various environmental events.
We continue to expand our reach, with growing support from the public and private sectors. Tree planting and other land stewardship projects have been made possible by support from the Steve Nash Foundation. We are excited to be planning a regional Youth Summit for April 2011, where we will bring together youth from the capital region and celebrate the amazing accomplishments of these young leaders.
