Avalon Energy Management

Avalon Energy Management has completed hundreds of energy management surveys, feasibility studies, designs and implementations ranging from simple evaluation of insulation levels to alternative energy, heat reclaimation, geothermal heat pumps, and high performance controls for buildings.

Avalon is registered under the BC Green Building Retrofit Program as an approved Owner’s Representative, and is a Certified Consultant in BC Hydro’s Power Smart Alliance. Avalon is a member of the Canada Green Building Council; accredited under LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Program by the US Green Building Council. Avalon has LEED® experience on 40 projects, and worked with BC Sustainable Energy Association to develop a commissioning and inspection protocol for their Solar BC Programme.

In addition to our Renewable Energy experience as a firm, our principal Bob Landell (AScT, LEED® AP) has Canadian Solar Industries Association certification as an installer of solar systems, and received a diploma of technology in Energy Systems form Malaspina College. The curriculum focused on wind energy, active solar thermal, PV, bioenergy, and tidal energy. Mr. Landell was a long-time member of SESCI, and completed an in-depth course on microhydro design.
