Energy & Climate Change Planning Talks
Join Mayor Watts and members of your community in a dialogue to move Surrey toward a localized, sustainable and efficient energy system. Get active in the discussion and help the City of Surrey develop its Community Energy and Emissions Plan.
Surrey residents and businesses are currently spending over $1 billion per year on energy – that's over $2300 per person! We affect our energy use and associated greenhouse gas emissions with how we:
- get from A to B in our transportation systems,
- build our homes,
- organize our street network, and
- dispose of our waste.
An energy-smart community is good for your wallet, the local economy, and it helps reduce our impact on climate change and the environment.
Tons of great prizes including a bike giveaway and bus tickets for the first 70 people who arrive by transit! Food and refreshments provided.
