Do you want to save money, generate your own energy, and protect the environment for future generations? Then you're invited to a free workshop on solar hot water systems, presented by BCSEA Okanagan Sustainable Energy EDucation Series (SEEDS).
The Okanagan Chapter of the British Columbia Sustainable Energies Association (BCSEA) is hosting a series of interactive workshops called the Sustainable Energy EDucation Series (SEEDS). The objective of these workshops is to raise public awareness of clean energy and environmentally sustainable technologies.
The workshops are designed to be hands-on and interactive as much as possible. They will also provide you with an opportunity to meet others, to ask questions and to get involved with the association. Each workshop will be lead by a member of the chapter with specific knowledge and experience in the topic being covered.
Workshops in this series plan to address the following topics:
› Solar hot water systems
› Photovoltaics (harnessing electricity from the sun)
› Improving home energy efficiency and reducing home energy costs
› Running vehicles on alcohol-based fuels
› Home heating and cooling your home using Geothermal technology
› EarthShips (self-sustaining homes made from tires, dirt, cans and bottles)
› Electric vehicles: Converting cars from gas to electric power
› Wind-powered energy
