Join the Coast Waste Management Association at the Filberg Heritage Lodge in Comox for a Networking Luncheon with guest speakers.
The invited speakers are:
Allan Gornall – City of Courtenay - Many communities have signed on to the Climate Action Charter, pledging to become carbon-neutral by 2012. Allan will tell us more about the Charter, how this will impact you as a service provider and what you will need to know about dealing with municipalities that have signed on.
Jim Elliot – Comox Valley Regional District - SkyRocket is a high-nitrogen soil amendment, made of wood chips mixed with biosolids, cured over time to create nutrient-rich mulch. Jim will tell us about some of the challenges they faced and the important role his product plays in the CVRD solid waste management plan.
Randy Holmquist – Canadian Electric Vehicles – Manufacturers of custom electric utility vehicles used for maintenance service and garbage pickup, Randy will explain to us the capabilities and benefits provided by going electric.
