Brown Bag Lunch Information Workshops: Free and Open to the Public
Do you or your organization communicate with public officers about things that affect you? You may be lobbying and don’t even know it. the BC government has made significant changes to the lobbyists Registration act, which come into force April 1, 2010. The changes expand the definition of lobbying, strengthen registration and reporting requirements, enhance public access to the registry and empower the registrar to investigate non-compliance, as well as issue penalties up to $25,000.
Lobbying is not a violation of the law. Failing to register lobbying activities is.
To find out about these changes and how they might affect you, the Office of the Registrar of Lobbyists invites you to attend a free brown bag lunch information workshop. The workshops are free, but space is limited.
If you wish to attend, please email the Office of the Registrar of Lobbyists at: Lobbyist.Registry@oipc.bc.ca.
