BC Premiere screening of FUEL in Nanaimo
The Cowichan Energy Alternatives Society, in co-operation with the BC Sustainable Energy Association, is proud to present the BC Premiere of FUEL, winner of the 2008 Sundance Film Festival Best Documentary Audience Award.
This entertaining and powerful documentary will screen for one-night only in exclusive engagements in three south Vancouver Island communities:
- Nanaimo at the Port Theatre on Wednesday, December 9th
- Victoria at the IMAX Theatre on Thursday, December 10th.
FUEL is a visually stunning, amusing, in-depth and personal tale of oil use and abuse. It examines a wide-range of alternative energy solutions, the faltering North American automobile and petroleum industries and the latest stirrings of a growing mindset toward alternative energy.
FUEL shows how positive change can start with one individual or community. The C.E.A. is dedicated to making the Cowichan Valley a leader in alternative energy and is raising funds in support of its Bio-fuel Production and Distribution Facility at the CVRD Bing's Creek Waste Management Centre.
Suggested donation of $10-$20. Advanced tickets are available at the Port Theatre Box Office, 125 Front Street, or by phone at 250-754-8550. You may also purchase tickets online at www.porttheatre.com
