Wind energy represents major industrial development opportunities for Quebec and Canada. Between now and 2020, it is estimated that $1 trillion will be invested in new wind energy facilities worldwide and that more than 1.75 million jobs will be created in this rapidly growing industry. The North American market will not escape this growing trend. This has created a strong demand in a broad range of sectors such as Construction, Manufacturing, Transportation, Engineering, Operations and Maintenance, and much more.

This event, taking place over one and a half days, is organized by the Canadian Wind Energy Association in collaboration with the ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation, and Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, and will give companies an opportunity to learn more about the growing wind energy market in Quebec, Canada and the United States. The workshop will offer an overview of the requirements with which companies must comply to become part of Quebec's wind energy supply chain and will offer excellent networking opportunities.

Session topics will include:

  • Wind Energy 101
  • Introduction to the Quebec and North-American Markets
  • The needs and requirements of Wind industry stakeholders, manufacturers and service providers
  • Successfully joining the wind energy supply chain: case studies
  • Overview of Government programs, funding sources and other tools available for companies
  • Round table discussions on lessons learned and next steps

Do not miss your chance to meet experts from the manufacturing sectors and to learn how your company can fit in this rapidly growing wind energy industry.
