This engaging workshop will provides context and history for how corporate sustainability is now part of mainstream business lexicon, is a core business driver, and how the decision making environment has changed as a result.
The workshop will then describe life-cycle value assessment (LCVA) - a powerful decision making tool used by major energy companies players such as Suncor, Petro-Canada, Shell, and ConocoPhillips for the purpose of making better decisions and improving project design. LCVA is applied for all levels of decision making such as strategy development, product or technology selection, facility location, process selection, and field operations. It can also be used as an important stakeholder engagement tool, including regulatory bodies.
