If you have opinions or experiences you would like to share about walking in Kamloops, researchers, planners and health professionals want to hear them at an upcoming town hall meeting.

There will be short presentations from a panel of researchers, planners and health professionals, followed by an open forum where members of the public can share their experiences of walking and ask questions. The meeting will be moderated by Prof. Tom Waldichuk from the Department of Geography,Thompson Rivers University.

The overall purpose of the meeting is to examine contemporary walking practices in Kamloops: to learn where residents like to walk, where they don’t, and why they walk. The hope is that this information will help to improve walking opportunities available to residents.Community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions and share their opinions and experiences.
