The City of Kamloops invites residents to attend a Sustainability Forum on November 29th at Forster's Convention Centre. The City would like to create a community dialogue about sustainability issues. Input gained at this forum will be used to draft a 'Community Vision' for a Sustainable Kamloops and help to identify residents priorities & ideas in reaching that vision.
The forum will consist of:
Open House Displays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the key environmental components of sustainability (land, water, air and energy).
Keynote Speaker, Guy Dauncey, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Guy Dauncey is a speaker, author, and organizer who works to develop a positive vision of a sustainable future and to translate that vision into action. He is President of the BC Sustainable Energy Association; Executive Director of the Solutions Project; board member of Prevent Cancer Now and Publisher of the EcoNews. Facilitated Group Discussions on environmental components will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm — everyone is welcome to participate.
