Join the September meeting of Emerging Green Builders Victoria, with guest speaker Guy Dauncey, President of the BC Sustainable Energy Association. Guy will be speaking on Green Landlords: solving the Rubik’s Cube of energy efficiency in rental properties.

Wendy Smith of Performance Energy Advisors gives a presentation on EnerGuide performance testing, pre-test planning and solutions, as well as Built Green and LEED For Homes programs. Doug Overholt of B.C. Hydro will also talk about incentive increases for the Power Smart New Home Program.

The year in review of the BCSEA Vancouver Chapter activities, followed by BCSEA's President, Guy Dauncey, as our speaker of the night. Guy will speak to the following topic: The Birth of a Green Civilization: our Role in Making it Happen.

Every month in Victoria (2nd Tuesday), people who are interested or employed in a sustainability-related field meet for informal sessions known as Green Drinks.

These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity.

Green Drinks is a monthly unstructured and inclusive casual networking event for anyone interested in issues of sustainability. Our regular time is 5:45pm onward, on the third Wednesday of each month at Steamworks Pub. There's no agenda or other formality - it's just a chance to meet regularly to chat, debate, socialize and connect with others in Vancouver who are passionate about environmental and all things ‘green’.
