The Greater Vancouver chapter was the first BCSEA chapter to become a full chapter in June 2005.

The Greater Vancouver chapter was found with its first meeting in August, 2004 with a steering committee being formed in late 2004. The BC Sustainable Energy Association, Greater Vancouver Area Chapter exists to:
- Shift all of Greater Vancouver to a fully renewable energy portfolio
- Ignite other chapters within the bounds of the GVA chapter (i.e. university chapters, south-of-the-Fraser-chapter, etc)
- Assist the rest of BC in achieving a fully renewable energy portfolio
The chapter holds meetings and events almost every month. Please check the events section below for more information. All interested members of the public are welcome to attend!
The steering committee runs the chapter, plans events, attends conferences and generally raises awareness of the BC Sustainable Energy Association and the mission of a green and sustainable future. The committee meets on the third Tuesday of the month, so if you're interested in helping out, drop us a line.
