Run of River Power Inc. is an independent power producer located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The company is developing green, environmentally friendly, renewable energy, and is currently developing an attractive portfolio of hydro-electric projects. Run of River Power Inc. has identified several key geographic locations, relatively close to the city of Vancouver, where the greatest demand for power in the province occurs. They have accumulated a number of river properties for development, where their close proximity to each other permits economies of scale, reducing the cost of building additional transmission lines and power plants. The Corporation completed its first "run of river" hydroelectric generation plant at Brandywine Creek near Whistler, British Columbia in 2005. The 7.6 MW capacity plant is currently providing power to over 4,000 homes annually through a 20-year power purchase agreement with BC Hydro. The project is "Ecologo" certified.
