Nexterra and Biomass Gasification

Nexterra's Charlie Ker, Director of Marketing and Cliff Mui, Program Director, provided an informative and thorough presentation on Nexterra's biomass gasification technology, marketplace and future business and technology potentials.

A comparison between Nexterra's systems and traditional heating systems which use traditional biomass combustion or natural gas was made to illustrate why the two of them were there giving a talk to the BC Sustainable Energy Association. Since biomass is considered carbon neutral, using Nexterra's gasification systems would be considered neutral as well, yet also significantly reduce other airborne pollutants that are normally found with biomass combustion. This brings Nexterra's system closer pollutant-wise to combusting natural gas, but with carbon that hasn't been stored in the Earth for millions of years.
