Bridge to a Cool Planet

Public mobilization has never been more important

Canada is laying the groundwork for failure in Copenhagen. Recent comments from our federal Environment Minister suggest that he is anticipating failure at the crucial climate talks this December -- and that he is willing to point fingers at China to avoid taking responsibility for our inaction.

It is clear that our government is only going to take the climate crisis seriously if we tell it to.  Now, more than ever before, it is critical that we come together, take to the streets and tell Ottawa loud and clear: "It's time for Action!  Make us Proud in Copenhagen!"

Come to the Bridge!

Please join us on October 24th for Bridge to a Cool Planet, Vancouver's contribution to the International Day of Climate Action (+1500 events, +120 countries)  Please come out to call for action, join the parade and have some fun.

11am: Cambie Bridge north bound opens to public
Noon: Banner Drop calling for action
12:30: Parade to Science World - Come in costume, bring a banner and help us create a media-worthy spectacle
2pm:
Eco-village at Science World (music, workshops, performance, dance, displays, kids area and more)
7 pm: Movies and Speakers at Christ Church Cathedral.

Global warming can seem overwhelming and it's hard to tackle on our own. When we come together our numbers send a powerful message. Please help spread the word.

We want to bring together at least 10,000 people on October 24th.  Please help make it possible: tell your friends, family, colleagues, team mates and others about the International Day of Action.  If we speak with one voice, government will listen.
