Are You Coming to Our AGM in Vancouver?
You are invited to the BC Sustainable Energy Association’s eighth Annual General Meeting, to be held from 1 - 5 pm on Saturday, October 27th at the UBC Robson Square Centre, 800 Robson St, Vancouver.
The purpose of our AGM is to present our Annual Report, invite questions and feedback from our members, vote on a proposed by-law change (see below), and elect new members to our Board of Directors. Refreshments will be provided. See the meeting agenda on our website here.
With directors, volunteers, staff, and chapter leaders attending from across the province, this is a great opportunity to meet your fellow BCSEA members, get an update on our activities, and become more involved in helping to create a sustainable energy future here in British Columbia.
Please RSVP if you’ll be attending by emailing info@bcsea.org or by calling our office at 250-744-2720. [If you have already indicated you're coming, no need to notify us again] .
Everyone is welcome at the door, although only BCSEA members in good standing may vote.
I hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Paul Save, President

Special Resolution
A special resolution is being put before the AGM that Bylaw 6.2(9) be amended to say, "A director must not be a director for greater than seven years. A director who has been a director for seven years must cease to be a director."
The Board is recommending this change in order to increase the Board’s focus on leadership development and succession planning, prevent the organization from being over-dependent on individual Board members, ensure that new skills, ideas and contacts are brought to BCSEA leadership, improve fundraising opportunities by revolving key Board positions, and provide opportunities for members & chapter leaders in provincial leadership roles.
