OUR GOALS FOR 2006-7
The Vancouver chapter supports the goals and vision of the BCSEA through the
following specific goals that we have set for our chapter in 2006-7:
Outreach & Education - Raise the profile of BC SEA in the Greater Vancouver Area and be a presence in the media.
Policy & Advocacy - Make Sustainable Energy a provincial and municipal election issue in ridings in the GreaterVancouver Area.
- Strengthen our relationships with key governments, non-profit organizations and energy companies in the greater Vancouver area, particularly City of Vancouver, the David Suzuki Foundation and BC Hydro.
- Contribute to BC SEA provincial research and develop a policy overview that is relevant to municipal governments and the residentsin the greater Vancouver area.
Capacity Building - Increase the membership of the chapter
- Build sustainable energy knowledge in our members
- Stabilize the chapter
