Fact of the Month

Quote/Unquote:

"What we human beings are all living now, whether we are volunteers or not, is an extraordinary but exceptionally dangerous adventure. We have a very small number of years left to fail or to succeed in providing a sustainable future to our species."
- Jacques Cousteau

PROJECTS

The BCSEA Kamloops Chapter is currently organizing the 2008 Kamloops Energy Fair to be held at the McArthur Island Sports Centre, 1665 Island Parkway Drive, on May 25, 2008 from 10am-5pm.

The Kamloops Energy Fair is a trade show and exhibition featuring information, products, and services related to sustainability. The first Fair in May of 2007 was a big success, gathering 30 exhibitors and an audience of 1500 people with very favourable feedback from both groups. The second Fair will be bigger and better. The focus is on Energy: demonstrating how consumers can become more sustainable in their energy use, through energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy conservation.

The Energy Fair will feature:

• Businesses showcasing energy information, products and services
• Non-profit organizations providing energy-related educational content
• Kid’s Corner for fun learning about energy
Speakers and movies on energy-related topics

This event is free to the public.

The Fair provides a venue for local businesses to showcase their products and for non-profit organizations to promote sustainability. If your business or organization is interested in exhibiting at the Energy Fair, please download our information and registration package. Download our current exhibitors list to see who else will be there.
