Energy Fair
See here for an article from the
Kamloops Daily News promoting the Energy Fair!
The Kamloops Energy Fair was a trade show and exhibition featuring information,
products, and services related to sustainability. The first Fair in May of
2007 was a big success, gathering 30 exhibitors and an audience of 1500 people
with very favourable feedback from both groups. The second Fair was even bigger
and better. The focus was on Energy: demonstrating how consumers can become
more sustainable in their energy use, through energy efficiency, renewable
energy, and energy conservation.
The Energy Fair featured:
Businesses showcasing energy information, products and services
Non-profit organizations providing energy-related educational content
Kids Corner for fun learning about energy
Speakers and movies on energy-related topics
This event was free to the public.
The Fair provided a venue for local businesses to showcase their products
and for non-profit organizations to promote sustainability.
